(White Rock) – With several hundred people attending and more than 60 vendors providing information and answering questions on a variety of issues, the fourth annual 50+EXPO was another huge success,” said Mr. Hiebert. Representatives from home care, legal, fitness, security, local and national government, investment, travel, safety, insurance, real estate, hobby, health, and hearing services, among many others, were present. “I was very pleased with the feedback I received from so many that indicated the EXPO was time well spent for them.”
Over the years, Mr. Hiebert has hosted numerous information sessions for the community on topics such as planning for retirement, or tax issues, which all drew significant interest and inspired the concept behind the 50+ EXPO, now in its fourth year.
He said, “In hosting these sessions I learned that there is a real demand for information on a lot of programs and services that are available to retirees. And, I know the opportunity to ask questions of a knowledgeable representative is greatly valued. That is what first inspired me to start hosting these EXPOs.”
The 50+ EXPO, was held at the Star of the Sea Hall in White Rock on Saturday, May 9. During the Expo, over $7,000 in prizes, generously donated by vendors, were given away, along with free coffee and cookies provided by McDonald’s Restaurants.
